The letter day is F
Dear Sandy Creek Middle School Families.
I am very excited about the upcoming 2017-18 school year and welcoming back all of our students and staff. It also gives me great pleasure to introduce some new additions to our staff this year. Ms. Kristen Dingman will be teaching ELA and reading in 6th grade, replacing Mrs. Denise Elkin, who retired this past year. Also, Mr. Ben Archibee will be back in 6th grade teaching science. We are thrilled to have both Ms. Dingman and Mr. Archibee joining us in the middle school.
Sandy Creek Middle School is in a process designed to help teachers develop leadership skills in their students. Through The Leader in Me, or LEAD at the middle school, students will discover their unique strengths and have opportunities to shine. We will be sharing more throughout the year.
We recognize that family support and communication significantly contributes to the success of our students and we look forward to continuing that partnership. Open House provides a wonderful first opportunity for meeting your child’s teachers. Open House is on Wednesday, September 13th from 6:30-7:30pm. Please stop in to meet our dedicated staff and admire our beautiful school.
Take every moment left of the summer to relax and enjoy all that our area offers. I look forward to seeing everyone on September 5th.
Carolyn M. Shirley
